Terms of Service
At Kaldi, we strive to ensure the utmost satisfaction with your shipment. To guarantee a smooth experience, we kindly request that you inspect your shipment upon receipt. If any items are missing or damaged, please report it to us within 48 hours of receiving the shipment.
Proof of Delivery and Carrier Liability
Customer agrees that, for shipments fulfilled by Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters and/or Kaldi.com, a UPS delivery scan (including a driver release delivery record) or a record of delivery to the USPS shall constitute valid and conclusive proof of delivery to the shipping address provided on the order.
Where a delivery scan for a package has been provided as proof of delivery, neither Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters, Kaldi.com, nor UPS shall be liable for, and Customer agrees to hold them harmless from, any and all claims arising from delivery of such package, including but not limited to loss, theft, non-delivery, or delayed delivery after a completed delivery scan.
Sales Tax and Compliance
Please note that sales tax may be applied to your order based on applicable state and local laws. Because certain commercial equipment ships directly from the manufacturer, their presence in your jurisdiction may require us to collect sales tax. We reserve the right to add or request payment for applicable sales tax after the initial purchase if it is determined that such taxes are required by the manufacturer’s shipping protocols or state nexus laws.
- Tax-Exempt Entities: You must provide a valid exemption certificate prior to shipment to avoid these charges.
- Cancellations: If you choose to cancel your order due to the assessment of these additional tax charges, you will be responsible for any applicable cancellation fees.
Product Specific Policies
Please note that ground coffee or private labeled coffee orders are not eligible for refunds or exchanges. Additionally, commercial equipment ships directly from the manufacturer, and processing may take up to 10 days. Refunds for equipment orders are only possible with express written consent from the manufacturer. If approved, a 25% restocking fee will be applied to all returned (new in box) equipment or merchandise. Please make sure to return the equipment to the designated warehouse within 30 days, and contact us for a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number and return shipping information.
While we take every precaution to ensure the quality of our products during transportation, we cannot be held responsible for any product damaged by freezing or melting.
Compatibility & Professional Installation: Customers are solely responsible for ensuring product compatibility with their specific systems. We highly recommend that all technical fittings, such as adapters and valves, be installed by a qualified professional to ensure safety and performance.
Liability & Use Disclaimer: In no event shall Kaldi Gourmet Coffee Roasters or Kaldi.com be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of this product. Users assume all risks associated with the installation and operation of technical components.
Inventory and Descriptions
Occasionally, items may be back-ordered. We make every effort to indicate these instances on our website. If an item is back-ordered, it may be removed from your order, or that portion of the order may be held until the item becomes available.
