Professional Installation

Kaldi.com Professional Espresso Machine Installation Policy

At Kaldi.com, we want to ensure your new espresso equipment is set up for flawless performance. To get you brewing as quickly and safely as possible, select equipment purchases include professional on-site installation services up to a maximum value of $500. Look for the "Free Installation" badge on qualifying product pages.

Any costs exceeding this $500 cap—including extended travel, custom hardware, or prolonged labor—will be the sole responsibility of the customer and billed directly by the service provider.

What Is Included (Up to $500 Value)

The standard installation package for qualifying machines covers the physical hookup, testing, and basic calibration of your machine. This generally accounts for up to 2 hours of certified technician labor and includes:

  • Unpacking & Inspection: Unboxing your equipment and inspecting it for any transit damage.
  • Standard Travel: Technician transit fees, provided your location falls within a standard metropolitan service area or designated local territory.
  • Utility Connections: Hooking up the equipment directly to your pre-existing water lines, drain lines, and appropriate electrical outlets.
  • Initial Setup & Calibration: Filling the boilers, heating the system to operating temperature, pressure testing for leaks, and programming basic volumetric dosing buttons.

What Is Excluded (Customer Responsibility)

To avoid delays, extra trip fees, or out-of-pocket costs, please note that our installation policy does not cover utility modifications or structural site preparation. The following must be completed before the technician arrives:

  • Plumbing & Electrical Modifications: Installing dedicated circuit breakers, running new water supply lines, or mounting drains.
  • Countertop Alterations: Drilled holes for water lines, drain hoses, or electrical cords must be completed prior to arrival. Technicians will not drill through granite, marble, wood, or stainless steel counters.
  • Hardware & Materials: Extra fittings, specialized pressure regulators, custom power plugs, or extended tubing not included in the original manufacturer box will be billed separately.
  • Water Filtration Systems: While water testing may be performed, the actual filtration hardware and its specific installation are not covered under the espresso machine installation allowance.
  • Barista Training: Comprehensive staff coaching, menu creation, or advanced milk-texturing lessons are excluded and must be purchased as a separate training package.

Pre-Installation Readiness Checklist

To maximize your $500 credit and prevent costly "dry runs" or return trip fees, you must ensure your facility meets all electrical, plumbing, and space specifications provided in your machine's user manual prior to scheduling. If a technician arrives and cannot complete the job due to incomplete site readiness, a standard trip fee will be deducted from your $500 allowance.
